Photography Beyond Self-satisfaction

Photography Beyond Self-satisfaction

Let’s be honest. In photography, it’s quite hard to photograph something that can go beyond self-satisfaction. So, I see little point in trying hard to seek external approval or recognition by others. As long as I’m satisfied with what I photograph, that’s what matters most. I don’t need others to “Like” my photos to feel validated (of course it’s always flattering to know someone likes my photos, though!). As someone puts it, the best reward in photography is self-satisfaction, and if there are other people liking my photos, it’s a bonus, but not a purpose. I guess this is quite well said, isn’t it?
