Top 10 Photography Spots to Shoot Singapore Skyline

Although I’m originally from Japan, I now live in Singapore and have been shooting its cityscapes for over a decade. In this post, I’m sharing my top 10 photography spots to take stunning Singapore skylines (plus a bonus free PDF eBook giveaway at the end of the post 😉).

1: Esplanade Area

This is the signature skyline of Singapore. Easily accessible and looks good on both landscape and portrait orientations.

2: Gardens by the Bay

The so-called “Supertrees” light up in the evening. Also, the light show starts at 7:45pm and 8:45pm daily, lasting for about 10 to 15 minutes.

3: Gardens by the Bay South

This shooting spot is located just outside Gardens by the Bay (along Marina Reservoir).

4: Merlion Viewing Platform

Merlion is Singapore’s no. 1 icon. This is where you can shoot Merlion with Singapore CBD as a backdrop.

5: Helix Bridge

6: Gardens by the Bay East (a.k.a. Bay East)

One of my most favourite spots to shoot from. Not the easiest place to access, but worth a visit.

7: Reflections at Kepple Bay

Might be a bit hard to find this exact shooting spot, but it’s within a walking distance (15 to 20 minutes) from HarbourFront MRT Station.

8: Chinatown

Shot from a corridor of an HDB (public apartment) flat located behind Buddha Tooth Relic Temple. The temple lights up only on special occasions like during Chinese New Year weeks.

9: SkyPark at MBS

Located at the rooftop of Marina Bay Sands (MBS). Tripods are not allowed. No free entry unless you’re a guest of MBS Hotel. For entry prices, see MBS official website .

10: ArtScience Museum

Shot within the compound of ArtScience Museum using the reflection in the lily pond. This place closes at 7pm (except Friday and Saturday, which opens until 9pm), so not always possible to shoot at blue hour.
