Long Exposure Cityscape Photography at Blue Hour by Joey J 📸

Photo of the Month (August 2024)

Photographed on 27 August 2024 at Singapore CBD. EXIF: 22mm, f/5.6, 256 secs, ISO 100.

Choosing a photo for August’s “Photo of the Month” was a no-brainer. It was a perfect day with “the good sky” and “the calm water” (for clear reflections), two prerequisites for any decent waterfront cityscapes. Ticking either one alone isn’t enough, so I was happy to tick both boxes this time around. 😀

Technically speaking, it was shot 11 minutes before the end of dusk at a base shutter speed of 1/4 second with a 10 stop ND filter attached, which extended the shutter speed to 256 seconds to smooth out water.
