“Photo of the Month” for December has two photos, both coming from me and our son’s trip to Hong Kong. It’s my 9th visit there, but the first time since 2017. Actually, the main purpose visiting Hong Kong was to watch a football (soccer) match, as our Tampines Rovers (Singapore) played an Asian Champions League (ACL2) match against Hong Kong’s Lee Man FC (which ended 0-0 πŸ˜“). There were around 10+ people flying from Singapore to support the team, and we were two of them. πŸ˜…

We stayed in Hong Kong for five nights, so except the day we went for the football match, spent four remaining evenings to shoot their beautiful cityscapes. Luckily, I got mostly sunny weather this time (quite rare in Hong Kong!) but still had other challenges like being too hazy at The Peak and the water being too choppy at Victoria Harbour (not good for capturing reflections on the water).

To me, Hong Kong is like a cityscape paradise, so my dream is to live there for a few months once retired and shoot as many satisfactory photos as possible. πŸ˜€

Both shots turned out great Joey so was well worth your time and made up for your team not winning the match πŸ˜…

A bit disappointing, but an interesting experience watching the match in Hong Kong. πŸ˜€ Next time, I want to get a good light trails shot at Connaught Road Central using 14mm or shorter lens!

At least the photos made up for the loss and definitely need to rent something wide before you go then!
