Photo of the Month (January 2026)
Photographed on 19 January 2026 at Singapore CBD. EXIF: 24mm, f/11, 192 secs, ISO 100.
I’m back with another Singapore CBD shot for “Photo of the Month” (January). With a lack of new photography spots, I’ve been shooting around the same old CBD area, but I never get bored of capturing the same view hundreds of times. 😅
I truly enjoy heading out shooting in the CBD after a long day’s work. It’s not always rewarded with a photo worth sharing, but the shooting itself is sort of healing. People release stress in different ways, and for me, nothing works quite like shooting under the blue hour sky.
In February, Singapore is celebrating Chinese New Year, so hopefully I’ll be able to come away with a decent shot of beautifully-lit Buddha Tooth Relic Temple in Chinatown. I’ll also be heading back to Tokyo for a week to resume my photography journey there. Of course, I plan to shoot every sunny evening, but also scout potential locations as part of preparing to live there in the future. 👀
Anyway, here’s to making 2026 a meaningful year. Happy shooting! 📸

Great shot and I really like the light clouds just behind the buildings!
Thanks, Daniel! I love thin clouds that are perfect for long exposure photography!
