Long Exposure Cityscape Photography at Blue Hour

Photo of the Month (May 2025)

Photographed on 16 May 2025 at Bayfront Avenue (Singapore). EXIF: 18mm, f/9, 129 secs, ISO 100.

The weather in May wasn’t much better 😅, so my evening photo outings were quite limited. On top of that, whenever I headed to the Esplanade area, the water was choppy—definitely not ideal for capturing reflections of the city skyline. So I ended up sticking around the glass dome Apple Store at Marina Bay instead, where the water is usually calmer.

There were some clouds in the sky on this day, but a 129-second long exposure helped smooth them out nicely. 😅 Hoping for better weather in June so I can get out and shoot more to make my evenings more fun! After all, there’s nothing quite like ending the day photographing my favorite cityscapes under the blue hour sky. 🏙️
