This is always the case with me. For this website, I won’t post any photo that I’m not fully convinced with, but for social media, I set the bar a little lower, otherwise I can rarely share anything at all. 😂
Sometimes, one of such photos that I think is just so-so gets quite a number of “Likes”, but it never changes my opinion towards the photo. 😅
On my Home Gallery page, you see 30 photos that I think are my best images, which were chosen from 200+ photos that I’ve shortlisted. If I let someone else choose 30 best photos, I’m sure that the list will be different (which is an interesting part of photography being subjective 😀).
That said, at the end of the day, photography is self-satisfaction (to me, at least), so I need to follow my heart to choose photos for the Home Gallery, not based on which photos were well-received on social media.

It’s always tough posting the best of the best as I know for myself if I did that, I may be posting once a year 😂 But sometimes just going out and taking photos, regardless of how they turn out can give you enough self satisfaction!
Yeah, same here. I rarely can post anything if I become very picky. True, I still enjoy all the photography outings very much regardless of the results. 😀

Yes, the more the better for sure! I do top 5 photos of the year post at the end of December, so my aim is always to have 5 top notch photos per year, rather than 10 (just) good photos!
