What I am Doing Now (23 December 2022)

2022 is ending. We often say “time flies”, but I sometimes wonder whether this is true. Factually speaking, a year won’t fly so fast, but it occurs to me that a day, a year, even a decade can go very fast when I’m working full-time. πŸ˜‚ Some say completely opposite (a day goes very slowly when working), but not for me.

I’m always thinking about retiring early and giving myself more time for my passion projects, but at 49, it’s still too early to put it into action (I’m aiming to retire at 55 if at all possible). For now, I genuinely appreciate that I still have a job. My position looks a little more secure now, after surviving a few retrenchments in the past several years. πŸ˜…

Anyway, 2022 has been a good year. I’m a low expectation person, so unless something awful has happened, I always say a good year, though!

Lastly, I’m releasing my top 5 photos of the year next week. This is something I look forward to every single year! In the meantime, I wish you a merry Christmas, and hope we all can slow down a bit in this festive season. πŸ˜€
