Photo of the Month (November 2024)

Photographed on 20 November 2024 at Shoushan LOVE Lookout (Kaohsiung, Taiwan). EXIF: 35mm, f/5.6, 30 secs, ISO 100.

“Photo of the Month” for November comes from my family’s first trip to Kaohsiung, Taiwan. To be honest, this isn’t a strong image, but since it was photographed during the trip, I’m sharing it for memory’s sake. 😅

Although it was sunny that evening, Kaohsiung’s sky was always hazy, obscuring the skyline in the distance (I had to use the “de-haze” tool in Photoshop quite a bit 😅). Also, the skyline is in the East (with the sun setting behind me while shooting), which isn’t ideal, as the East sky doesn’t have the beautiful twilight hues typically seen on the sun-setting side of the sky. Anyway, we have no control over where the sun sets, so I just had to make the best out of the given conditions. 😊

Thanks! This is the only planned shot in Kaohsiung, so I’m happy that I’ve ticked the box. 😀
