Top 10 Photography Spots to Shoot Singapore Skyline

Although I’m originally from Japan, I now live in Singapore and have been shooting its cityscapes for over a decade. In this post, I’m sharing my top 10 photography spots to capture stunning Singapore skylines (plus a bonus free PDF eBook giveaway at the end of the post 😉).

So, whether you’re a photography enthusiast planning to travel to Singapore or living locally and just picking up photography as a hobby, please check out and enjoy photographing the beautiful Singapore skylines. Let’s get started! 🚀

    1: Esplanade Area

This is the signature skyline of Singapore. It’s easily accessible and looks great in both landscape and portrait orientations.

      Nearest MRT Station:
    Raffles Place EW14  NS26
    Esplanade CC3
    Promenade CC4  DT15

Shot from: 1.288824, 103.856592 (on Google Maps)

    2: Gardens by the Bay

The so-called “Supertrees” light up in the evening. The light show starts at 7:45 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. daily, lasting for about 10 to 15 minutes.

      Nearest MRT Station:
    Gardens by the Bay TE22
    Bayfront CE1  DT16

Shot from: 1.282240, 103.864609 (on Google Maps)

3: Gardens by the Bay South

This shooting spot is located just outside Gardens by the Bay (along Marina Reservoir).

      Nearest MRT Station:
    Bayfront CE1  DT16
    Gardens by the Bay TE22

Shot from: 1.285781, 103.862717 (on Google Maps)

    4: Merlion Viewing Platform

The Merlion is Singapore’s number one icon. This is where you can shoot the Merlion with the Singapore CBD as a backdrop.

      Nearest MRT Station:
    Raffles Place EW14  NS26
    Esplanade CC3

Shot from: 1.286905, 103.854650 (on Google Maps)

    5: Helix Bridge

Shot from one of the lookout platforms on the Helix Bridge.

      Nearest MRT Station:
    Bayfront CE1  DT16
    Promenade CC4  DT15

Shot from: 1.287737, 103.860518 (on Google Maps)

6: Gardens by the Bay East (a.k.a. Bay East)

One of my favorite spots to shoot from. It’s not the easiest place to access, but it’s worth a visit.

      Nearest MRT Station:
    Gardens by the Bay TE22

Shot from: 1.286711, 103.869734 (on Google Maps)

    7: Reflections at Kepple Bay

It might be a bit hard to find this exact shooting spot, but it’s within walking distance (15 to 20 minutes) from HarbourFront MRT Station.

      Nearest MRT Station:
    HarbourFront NE1  CE29
    Telok Blangah CC28

Shot from: 1.263982, 103.810948 (on Google Maps)

    8: Chinatown

Shot from a corridor of an HDB (public apartment) flat located behind the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple. The temple lights up only on special occasions, like during Chinese New Year weeks.

      Nearest MRT Station:
    Maxwell TE18
    Chinatown NE4  DT19

Shot from: 1.281560, 103.843665 (on Google Maps)

    9: SkyPark at MBS

Located on the rooftop of Marina Bay Sands (MBS). Tripods are not allowed. There is no free entry unless you’re a guest of the MBS Hotel. For entry prices, see the MBS official website .

      Nearest MRT Station:
    Bayfront CE1  DT16

Shot from: 1.28530, 103.86100 (on Google Maps)

    10: ArtScience Museum

Shot within the compound of the ArtScience Museum, using the reflection in the lily pond. This place closes at 7 p.m. (except on Fridays and Saturdays, when it’s open until 9 p.m.), so it’s not always possible to shoot during the blue hour.

      Nearest MRT Station:
    Bayfront CE1  DT16

Shot from: 1.28646, 103.85928 (on Google Maps)
